My father has always said to be cautious of the mind, because it is where everything flows from. He has warned me about the lyrics to many songs in different genres of music. But his connotation of power is different than mine, because music can certainly transform, simply not towards a negative state. Similarly with books, music enables me to know the individuals inner-workings, to a certain extent. The way an artist carries him or herself through music is truly captivating.
My favorite band are the Red Hot Chili Peppers. From their lyrics to live performances to their musical notes, these individuals have shown the true meaning of talent. They have been able to incorporate various styles, from funk to rap, without sounding too abrupt. Seeing them perform live in Madrid would mean I have accomplished in life.
