My Thoughts on Bullying

It is clear to many of us why bullying is wrong. We are taught to believe it is wrong, and we are taught how to "prevent" it. Something I have concluded we are not teaching others, is how to accept it. Although wording it as "accepting bullying" may not be correct, it is a factor we are completely ignoring. A person who is or has been a victim of harassment will need to learn to admit it. This, however, does not mean this individual is asking for help. It merely suggests he is in the process of self-forgiveness. He is admitting to himself he is not the one at fault, but someone courageous enough to look past this.
What schools are forgetting or incapable of understanding, is that inferring we are "families" or "friends" is in fact not the way to go. This approach of believing we are to be nice to everyone, is not leading to positive results.
