Superior Position

In the cartoon series, Avatar: The Last Airbender, everyone seemed to be hopeless because the new avatar had disappeared a century before. When a boy named Aang appeared from an iceberg, many believed him to be the new avatar. Because Aang had fled before assisstance was given to him, he lacked confidence in his abilities while the three nations, excluding the Fire Nation, were reassured peace would return at his arrival. The audience would also imagine this airbender would "save the day" because children are hopeful of positive outcomes.
Superior position at the moment in my life is not knowing when my dog is having her babies, while she might have more of a clue.
